Prayer is powerful...
The most important thing you can do for us is PRAY! Our enemy is not of flesh and blood and he does not want to see us succeed! Being covered in prayer is the only way we can make forward progress.
There are many times during our time here that we have been the recipients of the answers to your prayers. Often times, I will receive an email from someone who says, "The Lord told me to pray for you today and I did." And, it happens to be a day when we most needed those prayers and support from the Holy Spirit. What a humbling experience to know the God of the universe put us on someone's heart and that that person took time to help fight in a battle on our behalf. What an awesome God we serve!
If I have learned anything during our time here in Costa Rica, it is this. I have always prayed but never like this. My communication with Christ is nearly constant most days. Life moves in such a way here that I can communicate with Him about even the little things. It is also so different from what I know, that I need Jesus' reassurance and peace on a constant basis. I have also learned I have so much more to learn about prayer. What about the power to heal like the disciples did through prayer? What about hearing from God more than I talk to Him? These are areas I desire to continue to grow and learn and I know my savior is a ready and willing teacher!
