The Sukia's Apprentice
There was once a man who was training to be a sukia. His teacher was a powerful sukia and healer and he had the power to change into a jaguar. The man was unable to learn from the sukia while in the form of a man so the sukia decided to try to teach him while in the form of a jaguar. One day the sukia was waiting for his student in the jungle while in the form of a jaguar. His student came upon him and, fearing for his life, killed the jaguar without knowing it was his teacher. It soon became known what happened and that the sukia could change forms. Due to the fact that the sukia was a double spirited person and that his knowledge was gained from an unnatural spirit, the teaching of medicine was prohibited and the sukias began to teach only in secret.
